These hardened Nihard 4 wear plates comprise a system of four, modular cast liners, which all use a material entrapment principle to increase their wear lives, by several times that, of conventional flat plates. As a group, they are able to handle material sizes from several tonnes to fine fractions, i.e. they may be adapted for the complete wear liner materials handling requirements of a total process plant.

Other features are that: -

Modular standard bolting patterns are incorporated, which mostly comply with three iron ore mine standards, i.e. they are largely interchangeable with existing liners.

They are about 2/3 the weight of comparative flat plates, and enhance safe working.
•
Production costs are slightly less than comparative flat plates.
